I'm finding it very difficult to review this book, it's not that I didn't like it, it's just I didn't like it enough!
I didn't really connect much with the characters, maybe because there were so many of them. And there was the Ghost.
The two main characters were not bad, but I didn't like Alix's parents at all, especially her mother, who has a big part in the book.
I felt a bit confused while reading the book, things were happening out of order. We would be reading about the morning and all of a sudden we're reading about the day before!
The history between the characters got repeated over and over and over again.
But the idea of the ghost was new to me, since I've never read a ghost story before and even though I didn't connect I still enjoyed some parts of it.
If we had a little bit more mystery digging and ghost seeing and less of telling us all about the characters repeatedly it would have been better.
I'm sure JD fans would enjoy this more than I did. This review is for a free copy courtesy of Random House via NetGalley
